The Ameda Mya Joy is a double electric breast pump built for reliable performance in a compact, lightweight design. It is quiet, it pumps single or double, and it comes with a large tote so the whole kit travels together.
Ameda was founded in 1942 by Swedish engineer Einar Egnell, and the same clinical thinking that goes into our hospital pumps carries through to the ones mums take home. Ameda is WHO Code compliant and supports the International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes.

The HygieniKit closed system
The Mya Joy comes with our Dual HygieniKit Milk Collection System. A patented silicone diaphragm sits between your milk and the pump tubing, so the tubing stays dry. There is no tubing to clean or replace, and nowhere for moisture to sit.
Already have an Ameda HygieniKit from hospital? The CustomFit flanges, containers, lids, tubing, valves and diaphragms from your hospital kit all work with the Mya Joy.
Replacement parts are available separately: Silicone Diaphragms (AM.000X02) and Silicone Valves (AM.17146M.A).
Getting the right fit
A good flange fit makes expressing more comfortable and can help you express more milk. The Mya Joy is part of Ameda's CustomFit Flange System, so a full range of sizes is available separately if the flanges supplied are not quite right. Research has found nearly one third of mums who express report greater comfort and more milk with a larger-than-standard flange.

Warranty and support
The Mya Joy comes with a 2-year limited warranty against defects. To make a claim, call Ameda Australia on 1300 643 633 or use our contact page. Any expense of claiming the warranty is at your own cost.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The benefits of this warranty are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

The Ameda HygieniKit has a patented silicone diaphragm that creates a barrier protecting the pump and tubing from penetration by bacteria and viruses. This barrier does not remove bacteria or viruses from breast milk already collected in the collection bottle system, and the HygieniKit does not make it safe for infected mothers to feed their infants with milk collected using this device. Use of this product neither guarantees nor warrants against the transmission of Hepatitis B and C or Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). Testing adapted from ASTM 1671-97b, performed in situ using actual HygieniKits and an Ameda Piston Breast Pump, detected no penetration of the diaphragm in either direction when challenged with Phi-X174 bacteriophage and a mixed bacterial suspension.
