Ameda CleanEase bags use microwave steam to sanitise pre-cleaned breast pump parts — flanges, flange adapters, diaphragms and valves.
The tubing, tubing adapter and adapter cap do not come into contact with milk. Do not wash, boil or microwave them, and do not place them in the bag.
Parts must be cleaned before sanitising. Milk residue left on parts will bake on during the cycle.
Cycle time depends on your microwave's wattage:
- Above 1100W — 1.5 minutes
- 800–1100W — 3 minutes
- 600–750W — 5 minutes
Fill with 60mL of drinking-quality water and seal the zipper fully before use. The bag and its contents will be very hot on removal — use the marked “hold here” area and vent the steam through the drain spout. Do not use for metal items or anything not microwave safe.
Each bag can be used up to 20 times. BPA free. Can also be used to store kit parts on the go.
