Choosing the Right Pump

Which pump suits you depends mostly on how often you'll express, and where.

The Ameda GLO is a wearable double pump that sits inside your bra with no tubing, so you can move around while expressing. It runs on a rechargeable battery and comes as a double set.

The Ameda Mya Joy PLUS is a compact double electric pump with a rechargeable battery and USB-C charging. It comes with a HygieniKit milk collection system, two flange sizes, spare valves and diaphragms, and a tote, so it's a complete kit rather than a starting point.

Whichever you choose, flange size matters more than most people expect. Both come with a 25mm flange, which doesn't suit everyone. If expressing is uncomfortable, or a lot of areola is drawn into the tunnel, a different size usually fixes it. Sizes run from 11mm to 36mm and swap into your existing kit.
